Hall of Famer Spotlight

Joie Londino

“Tigger” is a multi-time Men’s A and Co-Rec A National Champion, as well as a Co-Rec World Champion.

He began his career in the mid-90’s with the Flames.  His talent was easy to spot, and he was quickly snatched up by Jaro’s/CH Anderson, playing with them until the Jaro’s – Hansen Sports merger of 2001 created USA Blue.

With USA Blue Joie formed one of the most potent lines in the history of the game, as he along with his Hall of Fame wingers Rich Schrick and Stewart Hansen terrorized opposing goaltenders for nearly five years together.

Joie’s brilliance with the ball was dazzling. His vision and soft hands deposited dime after dime onto the bazooka brooms of Stewey and Hodge. The goals flowed, and the victories piled up. Joie was more than an offensive genius however. He was a fantastic two-way center, and always did his part in the defensive end of the rink.

A severe work injury to his hand cut short Londino’s career at the top level, but “Tigger” has recently been spotted bounding around the rink again in his 50’s with the new look Flames.

The Mag salutes you Mr. Londino, and welcomes you to the USA Broomball Hall of Fame.
